Festival at Lake Balboa Creek at Beilenson Park
The Los Angeles Parks Foundation and the LA City Department of Recreation and Parks are hosting a Rubber Duck Race at Lake Balboa Creek. Located in the valley and within the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area, the creek runs off of Lake Balboa in Anthony C Beilenson Park. This recreation area brings many park goers, with a large playground, all access baseball field, picnic tables, benches, bathrooms and parking. It is located within the basin which includes two golf courses, bike paths, sports centers, gardens and more. The Lake is at the center of all the activity. On a weekend day the lake hosts between 4000-5000 people. We are looking to book a total of 6 Food Trucks for the event The family fun event will have a rubber duck race, where small rubber ducks will be dumped at the top of the creek, through small rapids to a finish line where 3 winners will receive a small prize and trophy. Ducks will be sold prior to the event and day of before the race for $5. There will also be a climbing wall and face painting. All proceeds benefit Los Angeles City parks through the Los Angeles Parks Foundation. The Los Angeles Parks Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit created to enhance, expand, preserve and promote recreation and parks for the people of Los Angeles.
